Tim Gunn Signing Today!

I am already hyperventilating for tonight’s reading and signing with Project Runway’s fashion guru, Tim Gunn. I met him last year when he did a signing at my job for the comic book Models Inc., and he was SUCH a doll — we took several pictures, and he was so good-natured.

I also met him at Fashion’s Night Out this past September 9th, at the Kate Spade store in Soho, but it was insanely crowded, so it was super fast.

I really want to get a new picture with him, since my hair and outfit were just awful in the one from last year. Seriously, it was bad. But I have a feeling we won’t be able to get pictures tonight, either. Oh, well. I am super excited about the reading itself, but the part I’m nervous about is that I am going to be giving him a handwritten letter in an envelope I decorated. It’s very personal, and I hope he doesn’t feel weird taking it!

We shall see.

Tomorrow I am going to Tim Gunn’s signing at Barnes ‘N Noble in Tribeca -  this will be my third signing of his. I’m really excited for this one, because he is also doing a reading beforehand, which I know will be great. I am also writing him a letter, which I will give to him as he signs my book, so hopefully he won’t mind! I just want to let him know how much I appreciate him sharing some of the personal stories that he did in his book, which meant a lot to me.

Tomorrow is also my Dad and Step-mom’s anniversary, so I have to make sure to call early so they didn’t think I forgot, since I didn’t send a card. >.<

Other than that, it is now only 17 days until New York Comic Con! That year and half between Cons flew by SO fast. I’m really kind of bummed that I’ll only have half a day to enjoy it, since I’ll be working at the store booth for half a day on Saturday, and from 9AM – 7 PM on Sunday (WHO is going to go to a comic book store at 9 in the morning, especially when NYCC is open at 10? Does that make sense to anyone? So ridiculous.)

Ah, well. I have one goal, and that is to meet James Marsters, Spike from Buffy and Angel. I am SO excited, as is a super sweetheart with fans.

Oop, lunch is over, back to work!

September 17th, 2010

I just signed up for this word press blog, because the company I work for now has it’s very own blog, and I wanted to make sure I got my name before anyone else did. :P (I’ve had this name, FallenIdentity, for at least 11 years now).

It’s funny, because when I logged in, it had the header of a person walking down a tree-lined path; totally something that I would have picked out myself. I was like, “wha? Did I sign up for this before?”, but it was just coincidence. :D

Happy September! How can it be that it’s already the middle? 2010 is one of the fastest years I have EVER experienced in my life, I swear.
